[:en]It’s Friday night and I thought I’d spend some time talking about music as I’m a sucker for all kinds of music. Depending on my mood I might listen to classical music, rap, happy hardcore and everything in between. The thing most of you guys probably don’t know is that Sweden with it’s 10 million inhabitants is the worlds third largest music exporter. Yeah, you heard me right! Swedish music isn’t all about ABBA. People often get a dazzled and confused look when I tell them that Avicii, First Aid Kit, Robyn and countless others are Swedish. So it’s with a semi patriotic pride I present another Swedish export product, Sudio earphones. But first, let’s talk some music.
Like I said I listen to a lot of music, and quite a substantial part of it is Swedish, but to be honest I get bored quite fast, so to keep myself up to date and to get variation I basically use Spotify (a Swedish company by the way) and their Fresh-list quite a lot. But of course there are artists who never go out of style. I totally love Tove Lo, Robyn and even Lana del Rey (and no, she’s not Swedish, but she’ll pass anyway) and of course, Kanye. To be able to enjoy music however, whichever genre you prefer, you do need some good earphones.
Sudio are truly amazing and come with great design as well as outstanding sound which is studio quality and all that is as promised on their website, but something I’ve discovered myself is quite revolutionary. You know when you tuck your earphones into your pocket or you bag and then you spend a good couple of minutes trying to untangle them? Well, these earphones never get entangled however hard you try and either that is a very conscious move from the design department at Sudio or then it’s one of the luckiest coincidences in like a century. This last pic is an example of my exceptional photography skills ;)[:sv]Fredagkvällen till ära tänkte jag prata lite om musik. Efter att ha bott utomlands så stärktes min kärlek och stolthet över Sverige och svenska produkter (ytterligare). Man märker det kanske inte själv, men jag tycker nästan det borde vara obligatoriskt för alla att spendera ett par år utomlands innan de ger sig an på att klaga på allt som suger med och i Sverige. Självfallet inser jag att detta inte är en möjlighet eller ens en önskan för alla, men det ger fanimig så mycket mer perspektiv på livet och vardagen. Hursomhelst är det alltid sjukt kul att kunna lyfta fram svensk design och svenska produkter. Jag har fått förmånen att jobba med ett märke som heter Sudio och som gör grymma hörlurar (något vi i Sverige tycks vara i framkant med över lag!). Något vi även ligger i framkant med är vår musik. Om det nu undgått någon så är Sverige världens tredje största musikexportör och det finns alltså en uppsjö av svensk musik vi kan lyssna på och det är inte utan stolthet jag går in i en affär, restaurang, bar eller klubb utomlands och lite sådär förbigående konstaterar till mina utländska vänner att musiken är svensk och får ofta svaret: “Va? Är Avicii svensk?”… Så låt oss sprida lite patriotism med hjälp av musik denna fredag.
På min spellista just nu finns en hel del svenskt. Jag är allätare inom musik och går hela skalan från klassiskt till 90-tals happy hardcore, men undviker i högsta mån schlager. Chockerande jag vet, vi bögar bör per automatik tydligen gilla den genren, men undantagen bekräftar regeln. Just nu lyssnar jag exempelvis på Tove Lo feat Wiz Khalifa – Influence en hel del, men måste erkänna att jag mest lyssnar på Spotifys färdiga Fresh-lista då jag faktiskt tröttnar rätt snabbt på musik. Men vissa låtar och artister tröttnar jag aldrig på. Här snackar vi till exempel Robyn eller Lana del Rey. Well, the black and rose gold, too; I’m just a sucker for all things rose gold (like everyone else these days) haha. I had no idea that Spotify was a Swedish developed company! All I’ve ever known is that some of the most gorgeous and fit people are Swedish, hahaha! Anyway, I love the look as well, those joggers are everything!
