[:en]The title has nothing to do with me being tired of life or about me not giving a rats ass about what’s happening around me. I care a great deal about what currently goes on both in the world as well as my personal life and although there are times when I feel exhausted that’s not what this post nor the title is referring to. It’s basically referring to a book I bought at Colette (you know, my fave store in Paris, or maybe even in the whole world) with the same title which describes the life and fashion of designer Mark McNairy. I bought the book as his stance on life (and fashion) is IDENTICAL to mine: Recognize and acknowledge the traditional, but subvert it whenever and wherever possible!
Easily put that means, if you know the rules of fashion, you’re allowed to break to them, if you know the rules of etiquette, you’re allowed to break them. Who says you can’t wear roll-up jeans and sneakers to a blazer to a business meeting? Who says you can’t wear a snapback if you want to? As long as you look and feel good, go for it! So put all conventions aside and be and dress exactly how you want to. I mean, nothing is forbidden really. Not even wearing red to a wedding (which by some old beliefs indicate you’ve slept with the groom, but then again, who’d wanna flaunt with that?). Have fun with fashion! I do! 🙂

October 15, 2016 at 3:52 pmSo true! I cant think of much i despise more than dresscodes. Why would one ever show up wearing something one dont even like, just because its expected? Love your blog bro! Keep it up! /B

October 15, 2016 at 3:59 pmI couldn’t agree with you more and I did break a rule by wearing a pair of slightly distressed jeans paired with a polished shirt to the office yesterday. Why not as I feel good about this whole outfit?!
Great styling here!

October 15, 2016 at 3:59 pmI agree with you my dear!
I been thinking so much about that kind of issue ( the day is coming, remember?!…) and I been feeling a freedom to wear what I really want that I never felt before. I mean, who cares if you wear red with pink if you feel like you’re the one?! Self confidence is the key!
I really love your photos here, you look adorable and stylish as always!
Lots of love,
Isabel

October 15, 2016 at 6:56 pmLove this outfit, Thomas! That blazer fits you like a glove! I’m all for breaking conventional rules and all… and enjoy attending weddings where the “dress code” is not the typical. In fact, at the end of this month I will be having the pleasure of attending my cousin’s wedding and she made it “The Great Gatsby themed” in spirit of Halloween too… so that should be fun! Leaving me some room for creativity in the outfit I wear 🙂 hehe have a wonderful weekend love xo, sharon

October 16, 2016 at 2:50 pmYes, another rule-breaker! I mean, truly, who says fashion has to have all these “rules” anyways? The point of fashion is being unique and making a statement with what you wear, so I’ll wear black and brown together and white after Labor Day, and I won’t care who says otherwise (because it’s usually Vogue – and we all know how I feel about them now haha). You rock for bending the rules and looking dynamite while doing so!
