My previous post was much appreciated for the social awareness the brand had and that’s why I here present another ethical brand that takes it a bit further, Lite Apparel. As an introduction I would want to share their own ethical visions that are excerpts of an interview made by Lotus Boutique who specialize in etchical fashion:
Founded in June 2016, Lite Apparel is an ethical and eco-friendly outerwear brand hoping to instigate a much needed movement in the worlds most damaging industry – Fashion. Through personal experience in the Chinese Manufacturing and Production trade, founder Kai Jonas has experienced first hand the dark reality behind the way big-brand and high street garments are made.
After returning to the UK he decided to approach several of his school friends from his hometown of Brighton & Hove and in June 2016 together they launched Lite Apparel. Their main aim is to try and inspire creators and consumers alike to thing more consciously when it comes to the garments they produce or purchase.
With their extremely successful and highly acclaimed 06.16 collection they certainly achieved just that, whilst making a real name for themselves in the ethical and eco-friendly fashion space. As a collective they hope to continue to explore eco-friendly and sustainably methods of production and spread the word of ethical fashion!
So what about these shoes? The shoes are from North 89, a Stockholm based company founded by the talented and ambitious Gustaf Secher and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adore both his talent as the quality of the shoes themselves. And oh, just so you know, they’re having a MID SEASON SALE right now so head over and grab a pair of awesome kicks!
