[:en]During London Fashion Week Mens (LFWM) I got the pleasure to once again stay at the Leman Locke which aparthotel accommodation starts to feel like my home away from home in London. I’m beginning to find my way around in the neighbourhood and have located some favorite spots. Also, if you ever consider to live in London for let us say a month, this is a carefree place to do that as it’s basically just as coming home, yet with all the amenities of a hotel. For most of my fashion shows and venues during fashion week this was ideally located only 15 minutes away from basically anything, even if you would be taking a walk to wherever you are going. If you want to read about my last visit to Leman Locke, you can do so here, as this time I won’t focus as much on the room as I will on how a day of my life during LFWM looks like.
All rooms come fully equipped with an open solution kitchen in which there is not only all the utensils you’d need to cook a meal, but also a dishwasher and, very important: a washing machine! This came in especially handy as the rainy London weather really got some of my stuff muddy during a couple of photo shoots I did.
As you probably know me by now, wherever I go, I tend to bring with me some items that make my visit feel more like home and not just “another place to stay at”. This time I brought with me this tazzel from Rituals which gives a lovely scent to the entire room as well as a candle from Voluspa to make the room cozy at nights.
As a new year has begun, so has my healthier life. I don’t make resolutions though, I make things happen instead. That’s why I start my morning with a healthy cup of matcha while overlooking the skyline of London and planning what’s to come.
After my matcha moment with some meditation I usually exercise. To my great excitement Leman Locke has recently opened a gym, which is not huge, but has all the equipment you need for a good workout. To work out is essential for me to relieve me of my stress and LFWM can be quite hectic at times. So why not fashion your pressure or pressure your fashion. Either way you want to.
After my workout I head down to the ground floor where the Hyde is situated. Like its name may insinuate, Hyde has two identities: healthy during the day – not so healthy at night. During the day, Hyde offers hand crafted sandwiches, organic salads, paleo granola, cold pressed juices, Chash teas and third wave (volcano) coffee (inc. bulletproof coffee). As I’m dead beat by night I skipped the not so healthy and only stuck to the healthy options while working on my social media and doing my favorite thing, people watching. A quick rest doing that and then my days consists of shows, brand presentations and events.
After a long day at fashion shows you still need to stock up on some snacks for the night. Nearby the Leman Locke you can find Planet Organic which is a supermarket with all organic products. Teapigs is my favorite tea brand and even if we have them in Sweden, I always buy some of my favorite flavor while in London (Peppermint & Licorice, you can’t find that in Sweden). And let’s face it, sometimes you need some sugar and in that case you can compromise with a healthier snack option from here, so that’s what’s in my bag. What exactly it is won’t be revealed though, haha.
After Planet Organic you head over to Abokado to get a great takeaway meal which despite being healthy (yeah, I still have some issues with that), actually offers really tasty food which is good for you. Grab a meal of your choice and head back to your apartment at Leman Locke while you eat your food, listen to BBC1 Friday Night special (my fave show since I’ve been a child, especially Pete Tong) and have a look over the City of London.
Before hitting the sack you’ve got your bedtime routine to take care of. To wake up fresh and clean I like to apply a mask of any sort the night before. This time a long day with running around places made me want to use a deep cleansing detox mask from Mádara. With some soothing music and a scented candle making you company, you’re up for a real treat. The key to cope with all that is going on around us is to destress as much and as often as we can.
As you can see, I don’t travel light even when it comes to beauty products. The new Keune Blend series saved me from many bad hair days, besides I love the packaging. Some Smashbox foundation for my photo shoots is also essential as is lip balm from Mádara. To tint your skin a bit I also apply some ACO sun kissed lotion before going to bed. It gradually gives you a tan and won’t make you orange, I promise. After that, the only thing that awaits you is your bed with that gorgeous view over London, which I cannot stress enough as it’s an essential part of the experiece.
Thanks for this time Leman Locke. I’ll be back again for LFWM in June and we will most probably meet again!

It looks like such a lovely place to stay! And I love your routine and also do some of the same things! Like drinking matcha and burning Voluspa candles! And I also think hitting the gym is an amazing way to stay in shape and relieve stress too! 🙂
JoJanuary 20, 2017 at 12:32 am
I’m so jealous of your stay in London (and also loving it because I’m living vicariously through you right now, haha!) I’ll definitely look up Leman Locke the next time I’m there! Teapigs is one of my favorite tea brands too! I entered a design competition when I was attending Uni there and won runner up so it has a very special place in my heart!
Anthony @oh_anthonioJanuary 20, 2017 at 1:53 am
Wowser! This hotel looks so beautiful! You always have the most amazing accommodations. Not gonna lie, I’m super jealous haha
JenelleJanuary 20, 2017 at 2:00 am
That coffee looks so good! Haha, perhaps I am craving one! This place is certainly so modern, a lot of the places I have stayed at in London were JUST SO OLD. The places were cramped, somehow a little damp and dark. Nothing like this!!
IlianaJanuary 20, 2017 at 4:35 am
The place looks amazing Thomas! Congratulations on taking a healthier route, keep up the work.
I need to try that mask, I love masks. I use a different one everytime which I’m not sure if that’s okay?
StephanieJanuary 20, 2017 at 5:25 am
Look at you keeping up a healthy routine even while you’re away from home! I have to admit I tend to lose my way a bit in that sense when I’m traveling, but you’ve inspired me to keep up on my game while I’m on the go! Also, I just gotta say that the place you stayed looks SO homey and wonderful. That bedroom with the giant bed makes me sleepy just looking at it haha!

I’m actually booked to be in the Leman Locke in March, so I’m quite excited to go now that I’m seeing these photographs! It looks like a great property so I’m now dying to get to London already!

Loved your previous post on this hotel, and love this one too! This hotel has the minimalist vibes I adore! They have so many amenities to make sure your stay is comfortable.
You have taken some stunning pictures of your stay!

Oh wow, this is located at such a convenient location!! I been wanting to visit london so this blog post came at the perfect time! If I’m ever in the area Im definitely going to remember this.
Honestly I find the look of this place to be better than the conventional hotel style – it just feels so much like home. Definitely a home away from home like you said (+ with all that amenities, how can you go wrong?!)
Thanks for sharing this tip Thomas!! it will be handy for me !

First of all, yes !!! I want to stay in London for a month and live right there in the Leman Locke. It is not only so gorgeous and elegant it also seems to have everything anyone would possibly need. We love to stay in places with kitchen and laundry amenities just so we can feel they are there if we need them, like you with the muddy items. ( my poor Tommy)
It’s awesome that you were able to work out ( looking way too fabulous!!!! ) and I love how you always bring your special candles and things when you travel. You are so delightful, always , in the way you take your time and make every experience special. For example , even just watching you drink that healthy green macha and volcano coffee is so fascinating because you just seem so at ease and comfortable. And I can identify with the lots of beauty products ( you have more than me ) . One more thing and I’m so sorry if this all seems so long and on and on and on but you look so unbelievably adorable in that mask !!!! And every picture is a treat. Thank you so much for sharing.
MaggieJanuary 21, 2017 at 6:21 am
I really love the interior design! It’s so calming and welcoming at the same time. I also love the fact that there’s an organic store right by so you can pick up snacks. I so want to go to London Fashion week!
Christine KongJanuary 21, 2017 at 7:01 am
When it comes to places to stay, I am all about location and this place seems like it is central to everything! Being a mere 15 mins away for shows and so closeby to amazing food and essentials is awesome. I love that it has a kitchen and washer and dryer. That is so key for someone like me who travels with my family. I love the smell of Voluspa candles too and need to try that apricot one. I love that you have so many skincare products! =) xoxo, Christine

I’m a little bit jealous of your hotel!
Would love to stay there too! Guess, I’m going to book a room there
next time 🙂
Samantha MarikoJanuary 21, 2017 at 9:38 am
That’s wonderful you were able to stay at the same place as you did previously – while it’s great to try different hotels, I would feel more comfortable staying somewhere I like 🙂 And how cool that they opened a gym!! I’d definitely want to spend a night or two there 🙂
LukeJanuary 21, 2017 at 11:45 am
What a lovely hotel, it seems like it has absolutely everything to hand! Its sounds like they helped to make your stay in London very comfortable. Also, Tea Pigs liquorice and peppermint is my favourite my favourite flavour as well!

I love this post and I’m also obsessed with Volupsa candles, I have about 7 in my room! Haha!
dianaJanuary 21, 2017 at 4:20 pm
this place is really amazing, which is quite unusual for Europe I think. I have stayed in many different hotels but this one looks super nice. I would definitely feel like home if I had place to cook and relax.
Katya BychkovaJanuary 21, 2017 at 5:29 pm
That’s indeed such cool place to stay over during the fashion week! I wonder how do you have time to workout during fashion week? I’m usually so exhausted and under slept that all I can do is over drink coffee!! Lol

Where do I start, you’ve shared so much! First, the Leman Locke looks so modern and comfortable, it looks like the perfect place for longer trips when you start to miss the feeling of home. I love that you travel with a Voluspa candle (my fave) and that you’re taking good care of yourself this year with the matcha (potent looking), gym and mask. p.s. Love the photo of you admiring the pretty city lights.
Aleksandra LadyginJanuary 22, 2017 at 12:11 am
It is really important to find such cosy place where you feel like home! Sometimes it is not easy! Have a good day!

I’m loving the interior of the room that you’re staying at in London. It has some cozy vibes making it seem like it can be any nice apartment/condo rather than a hotel room. You pack soo many beauty products on your travels haha! I’m the same way. 😛 I take skincare very seriously. I hope you enjoy Fashion Week as well.
JoJanuary 23, 2017 at 1:35 am
After reading two posts of yours about Lemon Locke hotel, I am so convinced I am going to stay there if I ever visit London. The location is central to everything which is perfect for us visitors who are new to a city. I love it has kitchen which is more like some business hotels here in US but also perfect for the families. One of the workout routine for me at my gym is to use water rower. You know I would love to try that at Lemon Locke hotel gym when I stay there :). I am so happy you had a great stay at this awesome hotel while you enjoyed all the shows during London Fashion Week Men.
Vanessa BerlinJanuary 23, 2017 at 3:23 am

Ah you stay at the cutest spots! Leman Locke looks like a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. I love that you start your day off with some matcha! I’ve actually never tried making matcha at home, but it’s something I’ve been meaning to do! The view is stunning and it’s great that you were able to meditate and workout! Catching up on work over a nice latte (with art) is the best thing! And I know how you love your skincare routine! Need to send some tips over to le bf for skincare 🙂 Hope you enjoyed LFW! I loved the photos you captured from the shows.
JenJanuary 23, 2017 at 6:19 am
I really need to check out Leman Locke! That aparthotel looks wonderful and so clean. You really make me want to go to London and check this place out. And your healthy eating habits, lifestyle and beauty ritual really inspires me to be healthier and take care of myself too. You’re always so inspiring Thomas!!
michelleJanuary 23, 2017 at 1:05 pm
Sounds like a great stay! I also always bring a few homey touches when I travel. And I think you have more products in your routine than I do. Thou I want to try that ACO sun kissed lotion – I can never tan so I just stick to being pasty white LOL.
RiaJanuary 23, 2017 at 5:05 pm
Wow I love the space it’s the perfect mix of home and hotel. I never thought of bringing my own little touches to a hotel, so cute. I love it.
Candace HamptonJanuary 23, 2017 at 7:11 pm
You make me want to visit London just to try all those places you tried! I’d love to see what cheat items you bought that were sweets, haha. Your skincare routine is the truth too. Hopefully I’m able to visit Leman Locke for a week or two in the future. It looks so nice 🙂

This hotel is filled with all comforts, I bet you feel at home. Though my home is not that luscious. Planet Organic would me my go to shop as well. I think you are doing a great job with leading a healthier life, and you honestly look better by the day! I must try that detox mask! Baci, Valeria – Coco et La vie en rose FASHION & BEAUTY

This looks like the total minimalist home away from home. I don’t think any of our long-term hotel stay places are this chic in the U.S. They usually have a rental furniture feel. This place seems so much more hip and there’s so much going on in the area too. A great find!
Leila D.January 24, 2017 at 6:04 am
Looks like a cool place. I mostly eat organic food so that’s perfect. I am planning to visit London this year, thanks for this wonderful post, definitely would love to stay there.

Oh this place looks so nice. I love that it is conveniently located next to restaurants and shops. And I love that it has a kitchen equipped with utensils as well as a washing machine. So nice! Need to bookmark Leman Locke.
P.S. I don’t travel light when it comes to beauty products either haha

It’s SOOOO INTERESTING to read about your life and to watch your photos!
I plan to visit London this year, too.
So your tips are very useful.

London is so close to my heart, I lived there for three years. I feel as if I have explored so many parts of London and the hotels are usually so cramped and small. But your stay at Leman Locke looks amazing. The room looks so spacious, comfortable and of course chic. I love that you were able to carry on with your own routine just as you do at home. Your skincare regime looks so good as well, I would love to share that with my husband. I loved reading this post, felt as if I discovered something new in London. I will definitely check out Leman Locke on my next visit to London.
MandaJanuary 24, 2017 at 3:48 pm
This looks like such a lovely place. I too am not a fan of making New Years resolutions. I generally set a daily goal and work toward that and that turns into large goals by the end of the year! Planet Organic sounds like my kind of store. Besides California and maybe NY, access to natural food stores and restaurants is pretty limited. Loved this post!

Wow this place looks amazing! Makes leaving home so easy. I’m casually just gonna go to London at some point and stay here. For now I’ll live vicariously through you.

I often find that when I travel for events, especially when I’m on my own, it doesn’t feel home-y at all. This hotel, on the other hand, really does look like a home away from home. The fact that it has a gym and is so close to all of the food stores makes it super convenient too. Its so great that you bring your own touches to make it feel more like home too.
Andreea BirsanJanuary 25, 2017 at 8:32 pm
Will definitely have Leman Locke in mind for my next trip in London! Love how neat the apartment is and their services seem to be very professional! Besides that, the hotel is located in a great area. x

I visited London 2 summers ago and fell in love! The people were so lovely, the food was amazing, and the whole city was just beautiful! Leman Locke seems like a great place to say and I can totally see how it feels like home away from home! It’s modern and clean which I love!

It does feel like home with those homey decos! I love hotels that give you a homey feeling. That’s one of the reasons that I use Airbnb quite a lot, cause it feels homey =)
I’m gonna book this place for my stay in London for next Easter Break 🙂

looks like you had an amazing place in London. I love how homey it looks and love that you’re getting into the healthier side. It feels like shit during the first week of going back to the gym but should start feeling better soon
as I’m all about getting fit now. (also because I wanna look good and fit into a size 4-6 dress and sample sizes lol)
Also, how do you find those teapigs? they make my tummy hurts so much. I have a few here at home. Can’t wait to see what’s next on you

That was such an enjoyable post I feel that I know the place now and can’t wait to be right where you are the next time I am in London!
Nothing feels better to have a comfy and welcoming place to return to.

Wow I’ve never stayed at an aparthotel before, it sounds amazing! Seems like a really convenient place to stay, and stylish as well! I love how you brought along a tazzle and candle to make the place more homey–I’ve never thought about doing that before while traveling but definitely will now!

Can I just move in to this amazing room! lol I haven’t been to London in years to see family, but hopefully will this year or next year. Will definitely have to plan my stay here!

Leman Locke looks like a great place to stay! I always have to find a place near a gym or with a good gym when I travel. On my latest trip, I brought my foam roller for post workout. I am not a fan of hotel coffee usually, so it’s great to find a really good café right downstairs like you did! I hope you had an amazing time at LFWM! Sounded like a great trip.
