Fashion

[:en]To begin with, this is not what I wore for Paris Fashion Week. This only happened to be what I wore on a hot night when I had time for a quick photo shoot. It was 37 degrees (99 F) that day and pretty much all of the days in Paris and let me tell you, in a city like Paris where air doesn’t move at all it’s not fun. Add trying to look your best for Fashion Week to that and it’s pretty much mission impossible. I managed, somehow, but people around me at the shows were sweating like crazy.

I got this hand painted Tommy Hilfiger jacket during Pitti Uomo in Florence and I tried to make them make one for me that said Tommy + Tommy = True, but they only had 4 options to choose from so I guess I shouldn’t complain about this one really. It was nice of them and perfect for those “cold Parisian nights”.

Standing there on Rue de Buci, which is one of the liveliest places in Saint Germain surrounded by both tourists and local Parisians alike, I felt like getting a cold drink from someplace nearby, but nope, I had to pose and avoid a lot of photo bombing people who wanted to be in the picture. I truly love the atmosphere on this street though and it’s a must for you to visit whenever in Paris. It’s busy from breakfast until 3 am basically and I spend most of my free time on this street alone.

98 degrees? That’s insane! I love summer but sometimes the heat definitely gets to me. Nonetheless your outfit is very stylish yet causal and cool. I always go for a denim jacket as a layer piece when it gets colder at night as well.

You know my love for denim jackets and this one rocks! So cool that you got to get your hands on a hand painted piece like this! While it may have been super hot in these photos you actually look really cool – streetstyle cool. I love the basic tank and striped shorts with this fab jacket. I am heading to Paris in the fall and can’t wait to be among the hustle and bustle of locals and tourists (although not when I am trying to get an OOTD shot). =) xoxo, Christine

Isn’t summer heat the worst for trying to wear cute outfits? Love the simple yet chic choices and that jacket is definitely fireeeee status even if they couldnt customize exactly how you wanted!

37 degrees, well…I can feel your pain, as I live in Cyprus and this kind of weather is normal here. How can we even talk about fashion when it is hot like this? I don’t know.
But I like your outfit: simple shorts, tee and denim jacket (if the night will be cold) – what can be better?

You know I’m super digging that jacket! When you turned around it was like Bam!! Such a fashionable choice! You looked like you were flowing instead of hot. Lol. Also, what was going on during your photo shoot? It seemed like everyone was out enjoying themselves!

Rocking that Tommy denim jacket!! Gosh I can’t believe it gets as hot in Paris as it does in the states. Is it muggy or just dry heat? Either way, you are looking smooth and cool in these streetstyle shots. Love how you incorporated regular streetstyle with element of pedestrians for that nice addition.

Your weather in Paris sounds like our weather in recent weeks. I was in Paris in April and it was very nice. Love your Jean jacket – perfect for when it does get cool.

37 degrees is crazy! London is the same too in the heat – no breeze and no air. Your denim jacket is gorgeous and suits you so well though shame about no “Tommy and Tommy”! X

People truly underestimate how hot it can be in Paris during the summer, but you look amazing! It’s nice to relax after a long day between Fashion Week shows, and this is a great outfit that beats the heat! The heat is stifling, but you gotta look good because it’s Paris haha! You did a great job beating the heat, so keep it up!

No worries, it’s also super hot with high humidity too, so I totally feel you when saying you had to wear a particular look to accommodate this! Though this wasn’t your planned look for fashion week, it still looks great. That denim jacket is the bomb!

You look amazing Thomas! I wish I could rock an oversized denim jacket the way you do haha. It’s been super hot in Palm Springs and wearing a denim jacket like that in 110+ degree heat just ain’t going to cut it… maybe in 3 more months though! Fingers crossed 😉

It might be totally hot weather but you look totally cool! I do have to say that is one of my least favourite things about European cities, they care never designed for the hot muggy weather. Love the denim jacket by the way!

    Dear (My)Tommy,
Absolutely a pleasure to see and read this! 99 degrees is actually my FAVORITE type of weather but unfortunately we only get that for about a month here in RI! But it is actually difficult to dress for it. Only you could look completely chic and sophisticated while everyone around you was sweating. The jacket is still awesome even though they didn’t do Tommy + Tommy= True, which I’m not really sure of why they couldn’t! Nevertheless, you are inspiring as always and you make me want to visit Paris !
    Love always,
    ( Your) Jenny

That is such a cool denim jacket! I love how Paris is the City of Lights and also like NY, the city that never sleeps. I’m glad you had some alone time in Paris. Stay cool and stay hydrated! It’s been a very hot summer for us too here in Los Angeles.

I wouldn’t blame those passerby’s for wanting to be in a photo with you! Haha blogger problems, right? 🙂 I love these evening photos of you in Paris, and how cool you got that denim jacket hand-painted. Tommy+Tommy=True would’ve been much cooler though, I’ll have to agree there haha:) But ahhh I miss Paris already<3

Gosh, it does look like a hot night from your photos. Love your stylish tank tops and shorts. You know Australians love their tank tops and shorts with a pair of thongs, and they can almost wear that look to any events and occasions. You have definitely take the culture of tank tops and shorts to the next level, by pairing it with such a stylish denim jacket and a pair of sneakers. Love your casual vibe here.

You pulled off the extreme heat like a pro. I would be a hot mess and not a happy camper because heat waves and me don’t mix well haha. I love that denim jacket. The retro ’90s Tommy Hilfiger vibes is so on point right now and I couldn’t be happier about it. Such a cool look.

I love those seersucker style shorts and haha, anytime it’s hot in NY, I do the same thing. I generally wear a cover up but I always have one shoulder off to get a breeze in. I love that it’s a trend now and I don’t just look crazy. You pulled this off so well and managed to look stylish in the heat!

Dear Tommy, Gosh I heard about the heatwave through P there. And I actually wish I was there during that time just for the extra sweat that P will have… lol gotta get my mind out of the gutter. Anyways, back to you brother! I love that Jacket! Tommy + Tommy (you) is the best combo out there! The retro vibes are everything brother!

You truly have the coolest street style Thomas! I remember you mentioned you were going to pick up a hand painted Tommy Hilfiger denim jacket while in Italy and am so happy to get see how you styled it here. It has been extremely hot in Texas this summer so I could totally feel you :). And thank you for always referencing the temperature in Fahrenheit my dear.

    love,
