In between the fashion weeks in Paris and New York I got to spend a week at home in Stockholm and did take some time off to actually explore my beautiful city while dry cleaning my outfits, trying to sleep more than 5 hours a night and actually be a regular Joe just enjoying summer. My city is a city built on water and is often referred to as Venice of the North. While I do enjoy walking around as everything is within walking distance, there’s no better way to explore this city than with a bike. When I first was approached by Otis Bikes I was actually somewhat nervous. I mean, this constantly walking, subway-frequenting, taxi dependant city dweller hasn’t ridden a bike in 10 years or more. Would I be able to even balance the bike? Well, the saying is true. One you’ve learned how to ride a bike, you’ll never forget how to.
Otis Bikes come in three different colors, but I’m a sucker for pastel and of course went with this one. You can check out the other equally beautiful colors on their homepage. If my apartment was a tad larger I’d actually hang it on my wall as a piece of art. That’s how pretty it is. Back to biking in Stockholm however. We have a perfect public transportation system and as I told you, everything is even accessible by foot, but if you’re short on time and want to explore as much as possible of not just my home town, but any town really, I’d recommend you’d grab a bike and considering these are both affordable and weigh so little even I can carry them around, it’s a great option (don’t forget they’re pretty too!).
