[:en]I’m the kind of person who wears a tank top basically all year long. And no, I’m not talking about wifebeater tank tops, which some men find attractive for some reason, but just as a top. Why? They’re so versatile. In the summertime you can show off your ever so muscular body (or in my case, well, skip muscular and rather, just to not be so warm), but it all gets better with layering. Before you start preaching (hopefully mom doesn’t read this particular post, although I know she will) about me showing skin in the midst of late October chills it’s for two reasons: I want to show the beautiful patterns of the YPRES tank tops as well as show off my Mykonos tan, which I still have a tad left off, haha.

The floral patterns are an homage to YPRES home, NYC. By wearing this colorful top with an otherwise quite neutral outfit, you add just the right amount of color to it and by layering with both a hoodie and a jacket you won’t be freezing your behind off either.

Stay floral, but go camo. This 50 shades of green-top makes camo so much more peaceful and if worn by army troops would make the world a friendlier place. Wishful thinking, for sure, but that’s how I like to wear mine. A unicorn warrior in the urban cityscape of Stockholm.

The patterns of YPRES are stunning. Staying true to floral, but showing the diversity of how florals can be worn is what I like about them. Here we go to another shade of green which can be highlighted by wearing green, like I did here, or by contrasting with something totally else. The point being: Do whatever you want with these patterns, but play around as they add that extra spice to a normally dull outfit.

Nej, inte ett Paradise Hotel-linne eller något annat vedervärdigt, utan ett linne som lyfter hela din outfit enkelt och utan krusiduller. Varför linnen och inte tishor? De är oerhört mångsidiga vad kommer till användningsområden samt årstider och går att kombinera i oändlighet. På sommaren kan man visa upp sin muskulösa överkropp (dock inte i mitt fall), medan man på vintern kan göra dem till en del av en snygg helhet. Innan någon får moralpanik (kolla inte bilderna, mamma) över att jag visar så mycket hud i det kyliga novembervädret så är det av två orsaker: Jag vill visa upp de vackra mönstren YPRES har på sina linnen samt att jag faktiskt fortfarande har lite Mykonosbränna kvar.

Det blommiga är en hyllning till YPRES hemvist, New York. Genom att ha denna färgglada överdel med en annars rätt monokrom och neutral utstyrsel får man till den rätta twisten och hajar till lite över mönstret. Lägg till en grå munk- och jeansjacka på det så kommer du inte att frysa riktigt än heller.

Håll dig till det blommig mönstret, men bädda in kamouflage i det hela. Camouflage är mer eller mindre alltid trendigt. Därför är det extra kul att leka runt med kamouflage och kasta in det blommiga i det. Det gör det hela mindre krigslikt och för tankarna till hippieeran istället där man med blommor och kärlek ville störta Vietnamkriget. Vet inte hur YPRES tänkte, men så tänkte jag.

YPRES mönster är väldigt vackra. Det blommiga går rakt igenom samtliga mönster, men visar på hur många olika sätt de går att kombinera och det är vad jag gillar med dem. Här hoppas vi över till en annan nyans av grönt där man antingen kan förstärka det gröna som jag gjort genom att lägga på ännu mer grönt, eller göra det totalt motsatta och ha det som kontrastfärg istället. Poängen är: Gör vad du än vill med dessa mönster, men hitta ett sätt för dig själv att uttrycka dig på och lägg till en extra krydda till din vardagsoutfit.

    I don’t see a lot of males wearing florals so I commend you on that. I do think the choice of color as well as layering it with a hoodie and jacket helps tone down the print. You seem to be able to rock everything and anything!

    The floral tank tops are so fun! They’re the perfect piece for layering, especially in the summer which I find hard to show off your personal style because its so hot. I usually like to wear one under a short sleeve button down too.

    When you first mentioned tank top I’m not going to lie, my mind went straight to wifebeater tank tops so I had a good chuckle when I read what you had to say next. Honestly, layering is my all time favourite. It not only makes looks that much more interesting, but it’s super functional for going outdoors and indoors throughout the day. I love your floral tank top!

    I am ALL about these tank tops. And I feel like tank tops are ideal all year round because they make layering so much easier. I could totally see myself getting all these pieces for my fiancé to wear. The vibrancy of the tanks are totally his style! And boyyyyy your tan is killer. I’m jealous haha! My summer tan has already dissolved into vampiric white again haha!

    I can understand where you’re coming from about wearing tank tops in the cold weather. I am similar, except I wear sandals and flip flops and also ripped jeans in the winter! I get cold, but the bottom portion of my body is always hot haha. I must say you have definitely made layering sexy here! I can’t think of too many guys that can pull off a floral tank like you just did 🙂

    The beautiful floral patterns in these YPRES tank tops are outstanding and meant to be SEEN – definitely not layered over – however you did exactly as your title claims and made layering sexy !     Oh now that is indeed a new type of layering…. a sexy one. These tanktips from YPRES are really nice… almost too pitty to hide them under a few layers. So scoff off what u got boy. ?     I love your concept to add something spicy to our daily outfits. Tank tops are very versatile and love how these floral papp terms can be worn also for mans, the green military color is perfect on you but like also the other. If you want to share your tan get some self tanner like me 😉

As you already know I lack in the print and color department. Seeing how you mixed everything gives me a great idea of how to layer in my own life. Never even thought of wearing a tank!     Loving the layers! The floral with the military inspo is probably my fave as it’s such a fresh and unexpected combo. And you look so good tan. I personally love my pale skin but if I looked as good as you do with a tan, I’d probably spend a lot more time in the sun.

    Thomas, I’m so glad you shared this post! I’m always on the look out for new brands to share with my husband and I think her would really like these tanks from YPRES. I’ve never heard of them before so this is a great introduction. I really feel that fall is a great time to incorporate both summer and some winter pieces! Layering is one of my favorite things about fall! It’s easy to be creative during this time! While I love all of these you’ve included, I think my favorite is the camo look! It’s really striking! I love the hat and coat you paired with it too not to mention the black denim! Styled perfectly!     These tropical print Ypres tanks look so fantastic with your Mykonos tan! You’ve styled them all flawlessly- the jackets co-ordinate so well with each and every print. My favorite look is the tank with the light teal flowers! I just love how you’ve brought out this beautiful hue with that teal jacket. When I lived in the UK I used to love layering up my tanks and Summer tops too- it’s a bit like a fun challenge 🙂

    Love how you layered these tanks! I actually love layering tanks and short sleeve tops in winter because going in and out of stores actually gets hot if you’re layered too much, but it’s not as bad if you have cooler tops under those winter coats!!

    These floral tanks are like a super chic take on camo meets hawaii! I too love tanks like these that you can layer in all weathers, and the way you dressed up the various colors combos here are perfect! What’s great about these YPRES tanks you chose is that, while they are colorful, they’re still super edgy and muted, so perfect for that street chic look. I also adore how you paired them with all the bombers (seriously, this post is conclusive- you are the king of bombers!), especially that caramel leather one! Perfect!!
