I LOVE Goldfrapp!!!! YES!! haha, One of my favourites. I was just reading an article about the concept of hygge. I feel like I am going to have to write about it now. Given that I was already going to write about why I am reading more, taking time out to just do those little things that make me happy etc.

I would love to visit one of the baths there and would even brave the outdoors. Haha. The food and restaurant looks luxurious and delicious and the facilities for pool, reading, and yoga are wonderful! I will definitely keep this place in mind if I find myself in Sweden sometime too! But then, Swedish design is the best! I don’t think we Americans have a concept similar to hygge or mys. But maybe it’s a bit like ”YOLO” or ”you only live once.”

Your stay sounded so blissful and perfect! That’s totally the type of getaway I would love to experience right now to getaway from the holiday bustle. I also love being by the sea because it truly is the most tranquil place to be. What a beautiful retreat! Thanks for sharing your experience and your lovely photographs. I will definitely put this on my ever growing list of things I want to experience. For now though I will stay in NYC, which I know is not a bad place to be, and appreciate the spirit of mys 😉

I’ve never been to Sweden but I definitely want to after picturing your exquisite stay! It’s always nice to learn new things, so now I can say I know what ”hygge” and ”mys” are if they ever come up. How tall are you? You actually seem so tall that I laughed when you called yourself a little shrimp because I have to tippy toe in pools too! How deep was the water? And I think my crazy self would actually venture outside for the experience of heated pools/spas. P.S. I’m a HUGE waffle fan too so I’m glad you got to have some during your stay xx. This looks like a wonderful, relaxing hotel! I can’t wait to maybe visit someday.

Ok I am actually craving a Swedish spa experience now! What an incredible spa- it’s insane that it is over 100 years old, as it looks so elegant and glam 🙂 That view is insane so I’m not surprised that you had to get up to see the sunset. Also, yoga looks like the best way to start a mindful day! I had no idea Sweden was so big (my geography is awful haha)- I have been too Gotenburg before and it was absolutely beautiful

Wow! I want a weekend at the spa. This sounds like a dream. First, I love the Swedish words you described. I’ve heard of Hygge, but didn’t know its meaning. It sounds like a beautiful language. And bringing something from home to a hotel to make it feel more personal is such a great idea! If I didn’t always stuff my luggage to no end, I might try this. And I adore waffles too! Looks like a spectacular weekend!
