[:en]During London Fashion Week Mens (LFWM) I got the pleasure to once again stay at the Leman Locke which aparthotel accommodation starts to feel like my home away from home in London. I’m beginning to find my way around in the neighbourhood and have located some favorite spots. Also, if you ever consider to live in London for let us say a month, this is a carefree place to do that as it’s basically just as coming home, yet with all the amenities of a hotel. For most of my fashion shows and venues during fashion week this was ideally located only 15 minutes away from basically anything, even if you would be taking a walk to wherever you are going. If you want to read about my last visit to Leman Locke, you can do so here, as this time I won’t focus as much on the room as I will on how a day of my life during LFWM looks like.
All rooms come fully equipped with an open solution kitchen in which there is not only all the utensils you’d need to cook a meal, but also a dishwasher and, very important: a washing machine! This came in especially handy as the rainy London weather really got some of my stuff muddy during a couple of photo shoots I did.
As you probably know me by now, wherever I go, I tend to bring with me some items that make my visit feel more like home and not just “another place to stay at”. This time I brought with me this tazzel from Rituals which gives a lovely scent to the entire room as well as a candle from Voluspa to make the room cozy at nights.
As a new year has begun, so has my healthier life. I don’t make resolutions though, I make things happen instead. That’s why I start my morning with a healthy cup of matcha while overlooking the skyline of London and planning what’s to come.
After my matcha moment with some meditation I usually exercise. To my great excitement Leman Locke has recently opened a gym, which is not huge, but has all the equipment you need for a good workout. To work out is essential for me to relieve me of my stress and LFWM can be quite hectic at times. So why not fashion your pressure or pressure your fashion. Either way you want to.
After a long day at fashion shows you still need to stock up on some snacks for the night. Nearby the Leman Locke you can find Planet Organic which is a supermarket with all organic products. Teapigs is my favorite tea brand and even if we have them in Sweden, I always buy some of my favorite flavor while in London (Peppermint & Licorice, you can’t find that in Sweden). And let’s face it, sometimes you need some sugar and in that case you can compromise with a healthier snack option from here, so that’s what’s in my bag. What exactly it is won’t be revealed though, haha.
After Planet Organic you head over to Abokado to get a great takeaway meal which despite being healthy (yeah, I still have some issues with that), actually offers really tasty food which is good for you. Grab a meal of your choice and head back to your apartment at Leman Locke while you eat your food, listen to BBC1 Friday Night special (my fave show since I’ve been a child, especially Pete Tong) and have a look over the City of London.
Before hitting the sack you’ve got your bedtime routine to take care of. To wake up fresh and clean I like to apply a mask of any sort the night before. This time a long day with running around places made me want to use a deep cleansing detox mask from Mádara. With some soothing music and a scented candle making you company, you’re up for a real treat. The key to cope with all that is going on around us is to destress as much and as often as we can.
Thanks for this time Leman Locke. I’ll be back again for LFWM in June and we will most probably meet again!

January 20, 2017 at 12:32 amI’m so jealous of your stay in London (and also loving it because I’m living vicariously through you right now, haha!) I’ll definitely look up Leman Locke the next time I’m there! Teapigs is one of my favorite tea brands too! I entered a design competition when I was attending Uni there and won runner up so it has a very special place in my heart!

January 20, 2017 at 2:00 amThat coffee looks so good! Haha, perhaps I am craving one! This place is certainly so modern, a lot of the places I have stayed at in London were JUST SO OLD. The places were cramped, somehow a little damp and dark. Nothing like this!!

January 20, 2017 at 5:25 amLook at you keeping up a healthy routine even while you’re away from home! I have to admit I tend to lose my way a bit in that sense when I’m traveling, but you’ve inspired me to keep up on my game while I’m on the go! Also, I just gotta say that the place you stayed looks SO homey and wonderful. That bedroom with the giant bed makes me sleepy just looking at it haha!

January 21, 2017 at 2:02 amDearest Tommy,
First of all, yes !!! I want to stay in London for a month and live right there in the Leman Locke. It is not only so gorgeous and elegant it also seems to have everything anyone would possibly need. We love to stay in places with kitchen and laundry amenities just so we can feel they are there if we need them, like you with the muddy items. ( my poor Tommy)
It’s awesome that you were able to work out ( looking way too fabulous!!!! ) and I love how you always bring your special candles and things when you travel. You are so delightful, always , in the way you take your time and make every experience special. For example , even just watching you drink that healthy green macha and volcano coffee is so fascinating because you just seem so at ease and comfortable. And I can identify with the lots of beauty products ( you have more than me ) . One more thing and I’m so sorry if this all seems so long and on and on and on but you look so unbelievably adorable in that mask !!!! And every picture is a treat. Thank you so much for sharing.
Love always,
Your Jenny

Being a mere 15 mins away for shows and so closeby to amazing food and essentials is awesome. I love that it has a kitchen and washer and dryer. That is so key for someone like me who travels with my family. I love the smell of Voluspa candles too and need to try that apricot one. First, the Leman Locke looks so modern and comfortable, it looks like the perfect place for longer trips when you start to miss the feeling of home. The location is central to everything which is perfect for us visitors who are new to a city. January 24, 2017 at 3:21 pmLondon is so close to my heart, I lived there for three years. I feel as if I have explored so many parts of London and the hotels are usually so cramped and small. January 24, 2017 at 3:48 pmThis looks like such a lovely place. I too am not a fan of making New Years resolutions. January 26, 2017 at 2:06 amIt does feel like home with those homey decos! I love hotels that give you a homey feeling. That’s one of the reasons that I use Airbnb quite a lot, cause it feels homey =)
I’m gonna book this place for my stay in London for next Easter Break 🙂

January 26, 2017 at 5:16 amHi Thomas!
looks like you had an amazing place in London. I love how homey it looks and love that you’re getting into the healthier side. It feels like shit during the first week of going back to the gym but should start feeling better soon
as I’m all about getting fit now. (also because I wanna look good and fit into a size 4-6 dress and sample sizes lol)
Also, how do you find those teapigs? they make my tummy hurts so much. I have a few here at home. Can’t wait to see what’s next on you

January 26, 2017 at 7:18 amWow I’ve never stayed at an aparthotel before, it sounds amazing! Seems like a really convenient place to stay, and stylish as well! I love how you brought along a tazzle and candle to make the place more homey–I’ve never thought about doing that before while traveling but definitely will now!

January 27, 2017 at 3:05 amLeman Locke looks like a great place to stay! I always have to find a place near a gym or with a good gym when I travel. On my latest trip, I brought my foam roller for post workout. I am not a fan of hotel coffee usually, so it’s great to find a really good café right downstairs like you did! I hope you had an amazing time at LFWM! Sounded like a great trip.
